| Description: | The Senior Systems Administrator, Remote Access is responsible for day-to-day management of the Information Services Enterprise Remote Access and Remote Computing environment. Supports Citrix and Terminal Services as well as other remote access solutions and remote computing environments such as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Application Virtualization and Streaming. Assists with the design and implementation of next generation systems that will support the infrastructure.
Requirements:
Education, Certifications or Licenses:
Bachelor degree desired.
Citrix/Microsoft certifications required.
Experience:
Seven to nine years of industry experience with five or more years of WTS/Citrix experience.
In-depth knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame XP including maintenance, administration and troubleshooting.
Extensive knowledge of Intel based operating systems.
Experience with large-scale environments containing multiple farms with many servers.
Experience with the Citrix Web Interface, Presentation Server, Zenapps, Xenserver and CSG product.
VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
VMware ESX version 3.5 and higher.
Application streaming and virtualization.
Working knowledge of clustering, network load-balancing, and content switching.
Experience utilizing SSL/VPN solutions such as Juniper SA6XXX series appliances.
Experience utilizing F5 network load balancers a plus.
Understanding of imaging and unattended installations..
Application command line switches.
VBscript.
Repackaging software (preferred but not required).
Experience in project management including defining requirements, tasks management, resource allocations, and time management.
Experience working with and leading project teams to design and implement new solutions.
Knowledge of resources available to provide technical specs and quotes for various proposals.
Knowledge of applicable data retention practices.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment oriented towards a zero downtime target.
